16 Days of Activism 2024
20 Nov 202416 Days of Activism 2024
The 16 Days of Action Against Gender Based Violence is an international campaign that runs from 25th November (United Nations Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women) to 10th of December (Human Rights Day).
Each year we're proud to support the event - to raise the profile, and amplify the voices of, women, children & young people who have experienced domestic abuse.
This year, we'll be:
- Posting daily on social media using the hashtag #16Days #Imagine - Scotland's National Violence Against Women & Girls network's theme for 2024
- Sharing related social media from partner organisations
- Running a training event - "Putting Safe & Together Practice into practice" - for Practitioners
- GWA AGM: Public welcome to join
- Contributing to local press and radio articles about the campaign
- taking part in talks and panel events across Aberdeen & Aberdeenshire
- Proud that we are running three Connecting Women events for women who are currently using, or have previously used, our services.
It is time, more than ever to speak out and spread awareness about domestic abuse and the support services available across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire and how Grampian Women’s Aid supports women.
